Sound Effects

Similar to how you can create keyframes for motion, you can create a keyframe for both sound effects and the Volume Envelope. This will allow for an interpolation between two effect values upon playback. The Effect Stack view is used to edit a sound clip by layering effects onto the clip. The properties of these effects can be adjusted to fine tune the desired result.

When you select an audio clip, the Effect Stack view will display the parameters of that current audio track. If there are no effects added, the only effects that will appear are the Gain and Volume Envelope options. You can add effects by selecting the Add Effects button. Once your effects are added to the effect list in the Effect Stack, you can begin to apply your keyframes in the Effect Stack view.

Use the Delay effect to make a voice echo across a chasm or the Pitch Shift to make a voice sound like a cartoon mouse. To learn more about all the available sound effects, see Effect Stack View.

All effects applied to the audio clips can be played back in real time. You can scrub through the timeline to listen to the affected audio clips. Because the effects applied are non-destructive, you can remove or further adjust the parameters of your effects without permanently changing the original audio file.
