Weighted-Line Node
The Weighted-Line node allows you to lock a portion of the drawing in place while deforming another area of the drawing. For example, if you make a curve deformation, you may notice that other areas of the drawing may disappear, break, or tear as the deformation takes place. If you use the Weighted-Line node, desired areas of the drawing will lock in place. You may use the Weighted-Line node with the Weighted-Curve and Weighted-Point node.
Similar to the Weighted-Curve, Weighted-Drawing, and Weighted-Point nodes, the Weighted-Line node is designed for high-quality deformations that are best for preserving the texture and integrity of a drawing object,
The Weighted-Line node connects to the Weighted-Deform node as a deformation input. This means the Weighted-Line node should attach to the left node port of the Weighted-Deform node. When adding your pegs, be sure to attach a parent peg to each peg. The image below is an example of a network for the Weighted-Line node.
Properties
Parameter | Description |
Weight | This value specifies the influence of the line on the drawing. A value of 100 will constrain the drawing to the line. A lower value will cause the line to have less influence on the drawing. |
Minimum Distance | Defines the minimum distance at which the weighted-line will have influence over the drawing. |
Maximum Distance | Defines the maximum distance at which the line will have influence over the drawing you are deforming. |
