Writing EXRs with CryptoMattes
The software is capable of writing EXRs with CryptoMatte information. These EXRs can be used as image sources in Harmony scenes and in other software. Scenes composed with labeled Port Names on output images can be rendered with custom CryptoMatte information.
Port Names are used to create the CryptoMatte’s IDs. The Port Names will need to be assigned to the ports of the nodes being exported. These Port Names will be interpreted at export and converted into IDs within the CryptoMatte output.
For more information on Port Filtering, see Port Filtering.
NOTE By default, Harmony exports EXRs with transparency premultiplied with black.
