Generate AI Masks

The Generate AI Masks operation will generate a set of AI Masks for your current image. Once generated, the Mask Selector tool will be able to select individually masked elements contained in the image. The AI Mask Selector tool will only pick individual elements that the AI was able to recognize.

  1. Select the AI Mask Selector tool.

  2. Select your Layer.

  3. Open the Tool Properties view.

  4. Click the Generate AI Masks icon.

    A progress bar will appear, uploading your image to the server to be processed by the AI.

In the Tool Properties view, you will find an indicator next to the Generate AI Masks icon. This indicator will either appear red and read Outdated or green and read Up to Date.

The indicator will communicate whether or not the current image has an AI Mask applied to it.

If you generate an AI Mask and click off to another image, the indicator will advise you that the new current selection does not have a generated AI Mask. Conversely, if the indicator is green, you will know that the current image has an AI Mask applied to it.

NOTE After applying the AI Erase and Replace operation, the indicator will read Outdated on the new image. You will need to apply a new AI Mask to the newly generated image.
