AI Mask Eraser

The AI Mask Eraser allows you to erase portions of your AI Mask by drawing strokes over it. Regardless if your masks were created using the AI Mask Selector or the AI Mask Brush tool, the AI Mask Eraser tool will erase them.

TIP When using the AI Mask Eraser tool with a tablet, it is pressure sensitive, like with the AI Mask Brush.

  1. Locate the AI Mask tools in the Tools Toolbar.

  2. Click and hold the AI Mask tools to open the dropdown menu.

  3. Select the AI Mask Eraser.

  4. Open the Tool Properties view.

  5. Set the Minimum and Maximum Size of your eraser.

    TIP You can also use the hotkey O to adjust your eraser size.

  6. Draw strokes overtop the AI Masks.

NOTE When using a pen on a tablet, you can access the AI Mask Eraser by simply flipping the pen and using the physical eraser.

AI Mask Eraser Properties

In the Tool Properties view, you can adjust the eraser size and opacity of your strokes. The Maximum Size will dictate the largest size the eraser can be when applying pen pressure. The Minimum size will dictate the smallest size of the eraser when applying less pen pressure. To adjust the opacity, you can use the Max Opacity slider.

NOTE If you are drawing with a mouse, your strokes will always be at their maximum size. If you are using a pressure-sensitive tablet, your strokes will vary in size depending on the pressure of your pen, ranging between 25% to 100% of the maximum size.
