Play Menu
The Play menu lets you preview your project as an animatic in Storyboard Pro at any time during its development process. Using the Playback toolbar, you can preview the visual content, including transformations and transitions, and have it synchronized with sounds.
- At the top of the interface, select Play.

Playback Range | Defines the boundary of what will playback from the Timeline. |
Storyboard Track |
Will automatically set the Playback Range to the length of the panels in the Timeline. |
Storyboard and Audio Track |
Will automatically set the Playback Range to the length of the panels and audio tracks in the Timeline. TIP If the audio track extends further than the panels, the Playback Range will set the last frame of the audio as the end of the range. |
Working Range |
When enabled, handles will appear on the Timeline to manually set the Playback Range. To set the range manually, click and drag the handles along the Timeline. |
Set Start Frame |
Set the beginning of the Playback Range on the selected frame. |
Set Stop Frame |
Set the end of the Playback Range on the selected frame. |
Set Range from Selection |
Set the Playback Range based on the Panels selected. |
Audio Playback |
When enabled, the soundtrack of your project will play during playback. |
Audio Scrubbing | When enabled, the part of the soundtrack that is at the current frame will play every time you move the timeline cursor, allowing you to navigate the timeline of your animatic by sound. This makes it easier to synchronize the action and the audio in your animatic. |
Camera Preview |
Lets you preview camera moves and transitions. When you drag the timeline playhead while Camera Preview is enabled, it will adjust the Stage view to match the point of view of the camera. |
