Create Layers on Surfaces
Working in the Camera or Stage view, you can create a new vector or bitmap layer on the surface of a 3D object. The new layer will be positioned at the point in Z-depth on which you clicked. To position the new layer on your 3D object, you can use the arrow keys to cycle through the Layer Alignment modes.

- In the Tools toolbar, select the Create Layer on Surface
tool.
The tool's properties are displayed in the Tool Properties view.

Align Layer to Surface | The layer will orient itself with the geometry of the 3D object in relation to the camera. |

Align Layer to View |
The layer will orient itself to be positioned parallel to the camera. NOTE The layer will not track the camera if it is transformed in Z-Depth.

Align Layer Vertically |
The layer will remain perpendicular to the ground of the 3D model. NOTE The x-axis value will always remain 0.
