Toon Shader

The Toon Shader is an effect that can be applied to a 3D object. The intention of this effect is to make your 3D objects appear 2D so that they integrate more seamlessly into your 2D scene.

Properties

Parameter Description
Line Width

Defines the width of the contour line generated around the geometry of the 3D model.

By default the Line Width is set to five.

RGBA

Red: The amount of red colour in the contour line.

Blue: The amount of blue in the contour line.

Green: The amount of green in the contour line.

Alpha: Defines the overall transparency of the contour line.

0 is transparent.

255 is opaque.

Colour Picker

Opens the Colour Picker dialog, where you may select a colour of the Toon Shader.

You may set the Hue, Saturation and Value.

You can also use the Colour Picker window to set the Alpha.

Truck Factor Affects the weight of the line based on its relation to the camera. When the Truck Factor is enabled, the line weight will change relative to the camera. When the Truck Factor is inactive, The line weight will remain consistent regardless of its distance to the camera.
Shading Posterize levels Posterize simplifies the toning of shadows and/or colours on an object. When set to 0, Posterize will have no effect.
Grayscale Will convert all the colours to varying shades of gray based on their luminance weight.
