Compact/Uncompact

When you perform the compacting operation on a scene, the Control Center will process the selection and compact or uncompact the scenes based on the selected operation. The scene will be locked, compacted in a batch operation and then unlocked. Upon completion of the overall operation, a dialog will pop up to confirm the results. The Control Center can be used to compact or uncompact multiple scenes at once, and the operation can be cancelled.

IMPORTANT In order to compact your uncompacted scene from the Control Center, the scene must be unlocked. Meaning, the scene cannot be open in another location. Upon running the operation of compacting and uncompacting the scene, the file will be locked. Locking the scene will prevent collaborators from accessing the scene while the operation is actively running.

The Compact/Uncompact is the main method of changing the file structure of a scene after it has been created in the Control Center.

  1. Do one of the following:

    1. Right-click a scene in the Scene box > Select Compact/Uncompact.

    2. In the Top menu select Scene > Compact/Uncompact.

    The Compact Scenes dialog will open.

  2. Select one of the following:

    1. Compact.

    2. Uncompact.

  3. Click OK.
