Connecting the 3D Model to the Renderer

To render a 3D model using Autodesk Maya or Blender, you must connect the element node containing the 3D model to an Autodesk Maya or Blender Batch node. The Batch Render Node will take the 3D model as its input, render it through the chosen 3D renderer and then composite the rendered image into the Harmony scene.

TIP When rendering using an external 3D renderer, you can start Harmony from a command line terminal. This will provide more information while rendering and allow you to see the information that Harmony, and the external 3D applications output about the rendering process. This can be useful to debug the process if any problems occur.
