About Users in WebCC

In order to use WebCC, a project collaborator must log in to the WebCC interface with their username and password, which must be created by a server administrator beforehand.

WebCC users are regular Harmony Server users, except they have a WebCC password. While users can access a Harmony Server database from the server's local network using Harmony Server applications with their username only, they must absolutely have a password to their account to be able to access WebCC.

If you create a users in WebCC, you must create their password at the same time. If you want to give access to WebCC to a user account that was created in Control Center, which would hence not have a password, you can simply select the user from the list of users in WebCC and create a password to that account.

Because WebCC is meant to be used by clients from outside of the studio, every WebCC user is required to have a strong password, based on the following requirements:

The password must be at least eight (8) characters in length.
The password must contain at least one capital letter, other than the first character of the password.
The password must contain at least one digit or non-alphabetical character.

IMPORTANT Before creating other users, it is strongly recommended to start by assigning a strong password for the user usabatch, as this user has administrative privileges and its default password is usabatch.
