Disabling the Firewall for a Harmony Database Server on Windows
By default, the Windows firewall will block incoming connections to a database server. This installation guide provides instructions on how to add exceptions for the database server to your firewall. However, you may prefer to disable the firewall completely so as to simplify the installation process or to rule out the firewall as a possible cause when troubleshooting an issue.
IMPORTANT If you choose to disable the firewall on Windows, it is critical to ensure that your domain has effective site-wide security measures to prevent unauthorized access to your database server.
