You can pause the Harmony server instead of shutting down the whole database, such as when you need to synchronize two different databases. Users will not be able to work while the server is in pause mode. In the case of saving a scene, a warning message saying that the server is paused will appear. The server will take note of the save command and commit the changes to be saved after it resumes.
The file paths for this procedure will vary depending on which platform you are using: Windows, Linux or macOS.
- In the terminal or shell, go to the bin folder of the Toon Boom Harmony application:
- Windows: cd "C:\Program Files (x86)\Toon Boom Animation\Toon Boom Harmony 15.0 Premium\win64\bin"
- macOS: cd "/Applications/Toon Boom Harmony 15.0 Premium Network/tba/macosx/bin"
- Linux: cd /usr/local/ToonBoomAnimation/harmonyPremium_15.0/lnx86_64/bin
If you want to check the state of the server to verify that it is in fact paused, you can type dbu -P.
