Installing Toon Boom Jump

Installing Toon BoomJump on your workstation is a relatively simple and straightforward process. After installing the product, you will need to activate it before you are able to launch and use it.

On Windows, Jump is provided in an installation wizard that will install the application and create shortcuts on the Desktop and in the Start menu. Launching the installation wizard must be authorized by a user with administrator privileges.

On macOS, Jumpis provided in an Apple Disk Image (.dmg) file, which contains the software package. It must be opened and its content must be copied over to the Applications directory for the software to be installed.

  1. In a file browser, double-click on the installer package you have downloaded.
  1. When prompted by Windows, confirm giving the permission to the installer to make changes to your device.
    2. NOTE You need an account with administrator privileges to launch the installer.
  1. In the Choose Setup Language prompt, select the preferred language for the installation process and for the end-user license agreement.
  1. Wait for the install package to be extracted.
  1. In the welcome screen, click on Next.
  1. If you accept the license agreement presented in the installation wizard, select I accept the terms in the license agreement, then click on Next. Otherwise, click on Cancel.
  1. If you want to install Jump in the default installation directory, select Next. Otherwise, click on Change and select a preferred installation directory.
  1. Click on Install.
  1. Wait for the installation process to finish.

    2. Once the process is finished, you can launch Jump—see Starting.

  1. Log in to an account with administrator privileges.
  1. In Finder, locate and double-click on the DMG application package you have downloaded.
  1. Wait for macOS to verify the content of the package.

    2. The License Agreement prompt appears.

  1. If you accept the license agreement presented by the application package, click on the Agree button. Otherwise, click on Disagree.
    2. TIP If you want to see the license agreement in another language, select a language in the language drop-down above the license agreement.
  1. In the Finder window that opens, select Toon Boom Jump 24.
  1. Drag and drop the selected folder in Applications.
  1. Wait for the application to finish copying.
  1. In Finder, navigate to Applications, then open Toon Boom Jump 24.

  1. Double-click Jump 24.

    You will be prompted to confirm launching the application, as it is an application downloaded from the Internet.

  2. Click Open.

    Either one the following will occur:

    • If this version of Storyboard Pro is already activated, it will launch immediately.

    • If Jump is not yet activated, you will be prompted to give administrator privileges to the application. This is because Jump is attempting to launch License Wizard, which requires administrator privileges to activate Jump. For information on how to activate Jump, refer to the Activation Documentation.
