Producer Cloud Upgrade Procedure

Producer is a Web based platform and will be upgraded automatically to the latest available version.

Before the upgrade

For Administrators

Check the release notes to see how the upgrade will impact you.

If using Harmony Database and WebCC with Producer, ensure that your version is compatible with Producer and upgrade as necessary.

After the upgrade

For all users

  • If you are already logged in to Producer, make sure to log out and log in again.

  • A hard refresh of Producer in your browser is recommended:

    • Windows: Press Ctrl + F5 on your keyboard.

    • macOS: Press Cmd + Shift + R on your keyboard.

  • In the toolbar, click the user icon and select "Downloads and Resources":

    • Download and install the new version of Producer Link

    • Download and replace Harmony scripts (see Replace Harmony Scripts)

For Administrator/Advanced users

Replace Harmony Scripts

  • In the toolbar, click the user icon and select "Downloads and Resources" to download and replace the Harmony scripts.
  • The dialog box appears.

  • Click "TB_Producer_Snapshot (.zip)"

    • If it fails to download, right-click and select "Open in a new tab".

  • Once downloaded, you will need to extract the .zip package and copy all the contained files and paste at the location below in order to replace your previous script files.

    Harmony Standalone (Offline)

  • When using Harmony Standalone, user scripts are stored at the following location:

    • Windows: C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Toon Boom Animation\Toon Boom Harmony Premium\[harmony version]-scripts

    • macOS: /Users/[username]/Library/Preferences/Toon Boom Animation/Toon Boom Harmony Premium/[harmony version]-scripts

    Harmony Database

    • When using Harmony Server, user scripts are stored at the following location:

      • User: /USA_DB/users/[username]/Harmony Premium/[harmony version]-scripts
      • Job: /USA_DB/jobs/[job_name]
      • Environment: /USA_DB/environments/[environment name]
      • Global: /USA_DB/scripts
        • Replace the old script files.
        • Configure the buttons in the Harmony toolbar to use the updated scripts.

    It is recommended to log out from the Harmony script dialog window and log in again in order to prevent errors.
